Gregory O'Brien, partner at Cavitch Familo & Durkin Co., LPA,  as he will address recent caselaw decisions from the past year that have had the most impact on Ohio law as well as recurring issues attorneys frequently encounter in bad faith litigation against an aggressive policyholder’s attorney.

Speaker:

Gregory E. O'Brien is a partner at Cavitch Familo & Durkin, and he chairs its insurance law committee. Greg was admitted to the Ohio bar in 1986 and is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, as well as the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. He graduated from Walsh College in 1983 and the Ohio State University College of Law in 1986. Greg is an A/V Rated, OSBA Certified Specialist in Insurance Law, a perennial Super Lawyer, and a Life Delegate to the Judicial Conference, 8th District Court of Appeals. He’s been an active leader in the Cleveland Metro Bar, the Ohio State Bar, the Cleveland and Ohio Associations of Civil Trial Attorneys, and the Defense Research Institute. Greg served as OACTA’s president in 2008 and remains active as the chair of its awards committee.
